Store: Bybrook Barn
Department: Pets and Aquatics
Contract: Part-time
Includes Working Saturday and Sunday
Hours: 15 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing appropriate pet supplies, aquatic equipment, and livestock, providing expert advice and guidance
- Maintain a clean and organised retail space, ensuring shelves are stocked, products are clearly priced and displays are visually appealing
- Assist with the pond area to create inspiring displays
- Oversee the care and wellbeing of the aquatic animals, including feeding, water quality testing, tank maintenance and disease prevention
- Help in other areas of the business when required.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Previous retail experience working in a similar role such as a pet care shop or Aquarium
- Familiarity of pet supplies, equipment, and aquatic products
- Knowledge of various pet breeds, aquatic species, and their care requirements
- Willing to develop and learn
