Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at a residential care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents, supporting their daily needs, and promoting their wellbeing. Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Supporting residents with their daily routines in accordance with individual care plans
- Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Promoting social interaction and engaging residents in activities to enhance their quality of life
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of residents at all times by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge of nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Good IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
