We are a community-focused housing association dedicated to providing local services that truly meet the needs and aspirations of our residents. Our work is guided by a simple promise: we listen, we care, we are trusted, and we are always looking for ways to improve. We’ve built a supportive, friendly environment where our staff can make a real difference to the lives of people living in the East End.
As our new Housing Customer Support Officer, you will be the welcoming face and voice of our team. Based at our head office with regular trips to our local housing centres, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents reaching out via phone, email, or in person. This is a busy, varied role where you’ll help resolve a wide range of queries on the spot—everything from raising repair requests and helping with rent payments to issuing parking permits and fobs.
Beyond the front desk, you’ll be an administrative expert for our internal teams. You’ll manage your own caseload of work, update housing databases, and carry out satisfaction surveys to help us understand how we’re doing. Whether you're managing the reception area or collaborating with colleagues in Asset Management, your goal is to ensure our services run smoothly and our residents feel heard.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about helping people and who thrives in a community-led environment. You should have:
- Solid experience working in a customer service environment, ideally with an understanding of social housing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to chat confidently and empathetically with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records across different systems and databases.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to stay calm and resilient when things get busy.
- A collaborative mindset—you’re someone who enjoys working as part of a team to get things done.
- A commitment to our values, showing kindness and fairness in every interaction you have.
We believe in looking after our people so they can look after our residents. If you join us, you’ll step into a supportive and dedicated team environment where hard work and initiative are always recognised. We offer:
- A healthy work-life balance: A 35-hour working week with a generous salary range between £34,158 and £38,501.
- Growth and development: Access to a wide range of learning opportunities to help you progress your career.
- Great working conditions: We provide a friendly atmosphere and local, community-based working locations.
- Comprehensive rewards: A generous benefits package and a culture that truly values your personal wellbeing and professional accountability.
