About the Role:
- Job Title: Part-Time Café Assistant & Content Creator
- Contract: 8 hours per week
- Days: Split over 2 days, including weekend working
- Location: Bernicia House NE15 8NY
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Serving coffee, sandwiches, and desserts with care and attention
- Providing excellent customer service in a warm, friendly manner
- Running the café independently during your shift
- Keeping the café clean, tidy, and welcoming
- Leading our social media presence by creating, posting, and managing content that showcases what makes our café special
Social Media Responsibilities: We want someone who can bring our brand to life online. You’ll be responsible for:
- Capturing high-quality photos and videos of food, drinks, and the café environment
- Writing fun, engaging captions that reflect our tone and community vibe
- Drafting and scheduling content for platforms like Instagram and Facebook
- Using hashtags, trends, and reels to increase reach and engagement
- Responding to comments and messages to help grow our online presence
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a café, coffee shop, or similar hospitality environment
- Ability to work confidently and independently during your shifts
- Proven skills in creating social media content.
- A good eye for design, styling, and visual storytelling
- Strong written communication and time management
- A positive, can-do attitude and genuine love for food, coffee, and people
Bonus Points For:
- Barista skills
- Experience with content planning tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
