A welcoming and supportive primary school in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and helping every pupil make strong academic and personal progress.
In this role, you will take responsibility for a Lower KS2 class, delivering creative and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident, motivated and supported.
The school is looking for somebody who can build strong relationships with pupils, maintain high expectations and adapt their teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Lower KS2 curriculum
- Assessing pupil progress and using this to inform future planning
- Creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Differentiating learning to meet individual needs and abilities
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
- Following all safeguarding and school policies
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- UK-based primary teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the Lower KS2 curriculum
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan inclusive and engaging lessons
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
This role would suit an experienced Primary Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop their practice within a friendly and supportive Gloucester school.
