Step Into Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEN school in Coalville, Leicestershire, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain a full academic year's paid experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
Whether you're planning to become an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Teacher, Speech & Language Therapist or another SEND professional, this role will provide invaluable classroom experience while making a genuine difference to pupils every day.
Salary: £500-£520 per week
Start Date: August/September 2026
Contract: Full-time | Monday-Friday | Term Time Only

Your Responsibilities
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
- Help students access learning, build confidence and develop independence.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and behaviour support strategies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and become a trusted role model.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEND team to help every pupil achieve their potential.

Requirements
