Haydock Park Golf Club is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our dedicated course maintenance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a rewarding career in the golf industry. Working alongside our experienced greenkeeping team, you will receive hands-on training while completing a Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Apprenticeship, gaining the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified greenkeeper.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Greenkeeper, you will help maintain and present our James Braid-designed golf course to the highest possible standards.
Your training will include:
✓ Mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough
✓ Preparing the course for daily play
✓ Bunker maintenance and course setup
✓ Learning to operate and maintain specialist turf machinery
✓ Supporting course improvement projects and seasonal renovation work
✓ Working safely and effectively as part of the greenkeeping team
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
✓ Passionate about working outdoors
✓ Hardworking, reliable and punctual
✓ Keen to learn and develop new skills
✓ Comfortable working early mornings and in all weather conditions
✓ A positive team player
✓ Interested in golf or sports turf (desirable but not essential)
