We provide high-quality support to residents in a care home setting. The role involves assisting individuals with their routines, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing around the clock. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment. Applicants should be committed to delivering person-centred care and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Supporting residents with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Engaging residents in social activities and providing companionship
- Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing over night, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the care environment
- Assisting with meal preparation as required
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment.
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 is required
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
