Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Bank Staff member to join our childcare team. This role offers flexible shifts to support our nursery operations, providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. Previous nursery experience and early childhood education qualifications are highly desirable. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care.
Duties
- Support the delivery of high standards of childcare and early childhood education in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
- Assist in supervising children during activities, playtimes, and mealtimes to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, parents, and carers regarding children's progress and needs
- Support the organisation of daily routines and ensure the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of educational programmes aligned with early childhood development frameworks
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating children's files
- Support management in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate team members
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children across different age groups
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities
- Previous experience in childcare management or leadership roles is preferred but not essential
