Alpha House Dental Practice is a modern, fully private referral and family dental practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We offer a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, hygiene, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics.
We are looking for either an experienced Dental Receptionist or a Qualified/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of llong-term sickness absence. a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Dental Nurse to join our friendly team to provide cover during a period of long-term sickness absence.

The Role
This is a varied role supporting our dentists, hygienists and specialists while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

- Providing a warm, professional welcome and outstanding customer service to patients.
- Managing appointments, patient records and enquiries using SOE Exact.
- Taking payments and supporting reception and administrative duties.
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
- Providing chairside support during dental procedures (Dental Nurse applicants).
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials for clinical sessions (Dental Nurse applicants).
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining instruments in accordance with HTM 01-05 (Dental Nurse applicants).
- Maintaining high standards of cross-infection prevention and control (Dental Nurse applicants).
- Supporting digital dentistry workflows, including radiography, intraoral scanning and photography, where appropriate.
- Assisting with stock control and providing flexible support across the reception and clinical teams as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist or as a Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse within a UK dental practice.
- Is friendly, professional and committed to delivering outstanding patient care and customer service.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive team while also using their own initiative.
- Is reliable, adaptable and willing to support colleagues across the practice.
- Has excellent attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach.
- Remains calm and professional in a busy practice environment.
- Has experience using SOE Exact or similar software.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a dental practice as either a Dental Receptionist or a Qualified/Trainee Dental Nurse.
- For Dental Nurse applicants: GDC registration or active enrolment on an approved dental nursing course (for trainee applicants).

Contract
This is a temporary fixed-term position to provide cover for long-term sickness absence. While we cannot guarantee permanent employment, there may be future opportunities within the practice should a suitable vacancy arise.
