About the Role
The Disability Resource Centre is supporting the recruitment of a friendly, reliable, and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a lady living with a brain injury. Due to her condition, she is bed bound, has a visual impairment, is non-verbal, and experiences memory difficulties and fatigue.
Despite these challenges, she enjoys life’s simple pleasures — particularly watching quiz shows such as The Chase and Tipping Point and listening to music from the 1960s and 1970s.
This role is about providing thoughtful, person-centred care while supporting her dignity, comfort, and established daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with hoisting (always alongside another carer)
- Supporting with personal care, including use of a commode
- Promoting health, comfort, and overall well-being
- Administering medication as required
- Assisting with PEG feeding
- Working collaboratively within a small team of 4–5 carers
- Following a structured routine already in place
About You
Previous care experience is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is:

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- 24 hours per week
- Flexibility required to provide cover during periods of annual leave and sickness absence.
