About the Role:

We are looking for an Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Alloa. You will act as the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, coordinating service bookings, communicating repair updates and helping ensure each job is completed efficiently.
This is a mid level position suited to someone with previous automotive service, workshop administration or customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Welcome customers, understand their vehicle concerns and provide clear information about available servicing and repair options.
Service Booking Coordination:
Schedule vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections and maintenance appointments based on workshop availability.
Workshop Communication:
Liaise with technicians to monitor job progress, confirm additional work and provide customers with accurate updates.
Cost Estimates:
Prepare service estimates, explain repair recommendations and obtain customer approval before additional work begins.
Service Administration:
Maintain accurate customer records, vehicle details, job cards, invoices and service documentation.
Parts Coordination:
Work with the parts team to confirm availability of required components and minimise delays.
Customer Follow Up:
Contact customers after completed work when required and help resolve any service related concerns professionally.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in automotive customer service, service reception, workshop administration or a similar role.
Automotive Knowledge:
A practical understanding of routine vehicle servicing, repairs, maintenance schedules and common automotive terminology.
Communication Skills:
You can explain technical information in a clear and reassuring way to customers with different levels of vehicle knowledge.
Organisation:
You are comfortable managing several bookings, customer enquiries and workshop updates at the same time.
Computer Skills:
Experience using workshop booking systems, customer databases, invoicing software or similar administrative tools is preferred.
Mindset:
You are calm, dependable and customer focused. You take ownership of problems and work closely with colleagues to find practical solutions.
Pay: £2,463.00-£2,800.00 per month
