Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of carpentry and joinery, with a strong focus on fabrication and the use of hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including roofing and construction. The successful applicant should be an organised professional capable of heavy lifting and working safely within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber structures and components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and install materials.
- Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures
- Assist with roofing projects by installing trusses, sheathing, and waterproofing materials
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite to ensure safety standards are met at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Competence in using power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and grinders
- Knowledge of roofing techniques is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are essential
