Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing faults across various projects. This role requires an understanding of electrical principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal applicant will have practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical systems, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Duties
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete installations accurately.
- Ensure all work adheres to current electrical codes and safety standards.
- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters for various tasks.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople or team members to complete projects on time
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Electrician in a similar environment is essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools utilised in electrical work.
- Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as a recognised Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent are required.
- Prior experience working on diverse projects will be considered an advantage.
