Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable 3.5-ton Van Driver some experience in removals and storage services is desirable but not essential. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture, household items, and storage goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth relocations and a positive experience for our clients. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5-ton van to deliver and collect household items, furniture, and storage goods across multiple locations
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Follow planned routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate clearly with clients to coordinate delivery times and provide updates on progress
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and customer signatures
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance
- Support warehouse activities such as organizing stock, preparing items for transport, and assisting with inventory management when needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with removals or storage services
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong commercial driving skills with knowledge of road safety regulations
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling of bulky items
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics operations
- Ability to stay organized, punctual, and proactive in managing deliveries and pickups
