Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and skilled HGV class 1 Day/Night Drivers to join our small business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This is a permanent role working on amazon. Start time has to be flexible, for days between 6am - 9am and nights between 6 - 10pm, shifts are 10 -12h . We offer between £160 - £190 shift Ltd or self employed depending on experience.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Experience
- Valid C+E driving license
- Valid CPC
- Valid Tacho card
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
