What You’ll Be Doing:
Campaign Planning and Delivery
- Support the Individual Giving Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate supporter acquisition, retention and development campaigns across direct mail, digital and other fundraising channels.
- Project manage campaigns from concept through to completion, ensuring all activity is delivered on time, within budget and to agreed objectives.
Campaign Management
- Act as the central point of contact for campaign delivery, coordinating activity between fundraising, marketing, communications, data and external partners.
- Maintain campaign plans, schedules and action logs, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
Supplier Management
- Brief, coordinate and manage external agencies, printers, mailing houses and suppliers to ensure delivery against agreed service levels.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes for campaign activity, ensuring best value and cost-effective delivery.
Financial Management
- Maintain accurate records of campaign expenditure and income
- Track campaign costs against approved budgets and proactively highlight risks or variances.
Data & Reporting
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare regular reports on income, expenditure and key performance indicators.
- Analyse campaign results and supporter behaviour to help inform future campaign planning and optimisation
Supporter Development and Digital Fundraising
- Support the delivery of supporter stewardship and retention communications, including newsletters and appeals.
- Identify opportunities to improve supporter journeys, engagement and lifetime value
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice, Gambling Commission requirements, GDPR and charity policies
- Support compliance reviews and maintain accurate records to meet audit and governance requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Proven direct marketing campaign management experience or a minimum of two years' experience working in fundraising.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Experience of working with external suppliers, agencies or service providers to deliver successful outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting, proofreading and briefing.
- Experience of monitoring budgets, expenditure or project costs and working within agreed financial parameters.
- Ability to analyse data and campaign performance, using insights to inform recommendations and future activity.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- Experience working within Individual Giving, direct marketing or supporter acquisition and retention programmes.
- Experience of direct mail campaign planning and production.
- Experience of using a CRM database.
- Experience of purchase order processing, invoice management and budget administration.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulation, GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Marketing, fundraising or project management qualification.
