Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
This position is temporary to add additional capacity over the summer season but could become permanent for the right candidate. Hours will be variable, subject to discussion and the business's needs. You must be prepared to work shifts that include weekends, and typically hours run from 9am-4pm.
Training and Uniform provided.
This role would suit Students, or anyone looking to start a career with us as we will have openings after the summer has finished.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces in guest rooms and common areas.
- Ensure all areas are well-maintained and presentable to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the establishment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are a must.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly disposition.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods, including lifting and moving items as necessary.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential
