Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team, with the possibility of live-in accommodation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, particularly breakfast and brunch dishes, and possess strong skills in food preparation and kitchen management. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Assist with meal planning and menu development to enhance guest experience
- Serve breakfast to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times during food preparation and service
- Support other kitchen staff as required to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Previous experience in meal preparation, especially breakfast or brunch menus, is highly desirable
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving guests
- Flexibility regarding working hours; availability for early mornings is essential
- Experience with restaurant operations or serving is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
