Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate self employed dog groomer to join our team. As a dog groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while providing exceptional grooming services. Your expertise will help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dogs within store, contributing to their overall happiness and comfort. 5 day work week, Saturdays at a must, closed on Sundays.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, and styling for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners about grooming options and aftercare.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised regularly.
- Handle dogs with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly for larger breeds or when moving equipment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns effectively.
- Knowledge of animal care practices to ensure the health and safety of pets during grooming sessions.
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures is advantageous for recognising potential health issues in pets.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in handling larger animals or equipment safely.
Must haves
- Experience of at least 1 years dog grooming (Essential).
- Highly adaptable and willing to work within a team.
