Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and general gardening activities to enhance outdoor spaces.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and efficiently for various construction or landscaping projects.
- Support the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
- Help with excavation work using equipment like excavators under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, organizing materials, and ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members on project tasks, follow instructions accurately, and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and small machinery operation.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment functions and perform simple maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices or irrigation systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to safety and task completion.
