Job Description
Based at our Stanningley site, we have a Saw Operative / General Labourer position available. The role is to ensure all customer sawn cut steel tube orders are fulfilled working in a fast-paced steel yard environment. Hours of work are 08:00–16:30 Monday to Friday.
Main tasks will include:
- Assisting with the production and dispatch of sawn cut steel tube orders
- Measuring of steel tube stock prior to cutting
- Loading and off-loading of the saw bench and wagons
- Operating a bandsaw, overhead crane and forklift truck
- Working as part of a team
- Maintain a tidy work space and high levels of Health and Safety at all times
20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.70 per hour
