Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator for a prestigious hotel environment. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and maintaining the quality of interior and exterior surfaces. Your expertise will ensure that guest areas, corridors, rooms, and public spaces are beautifully painted, decorated, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, wallpapers, and decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to identify areas needing touch-ups or repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate painting schedules around guest occupancy and hotel operations.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning tools after each project.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project progress or any issues encountered.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, decorating, or related roles within hospitality or commercial settings.
- Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and report on work completed.
- Valid driving license preferred to facilitate transportation of supplies or equipment as needed.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorative finishes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, lifting heavy materials, and standing for extended periods.
