Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all nursery areas, including playrooms, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces during evening hours
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Disinfect surfaces, toys, furniture, and equipment to ensure hygiene compliance
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly in designated areas
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and contamination
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles with a focus on child-friendly environments
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict schedules
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills for reporting issues clearly and efficiently
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to nursery or childcare settings
