Job Summary
The Regal Theatre is seeking an ambitious and creative Marketing Manager to lead audience development, brand awareness, and ticket sales across our diverse programme of live performances, cinema, community events, and outreach activities. This is a hands-on role combining strategic planning with content creation, digital marketing, PR, and audience engagement.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Audience Development
- Develop and deliver annual marketing and audience development plans.
- Analyse audience data, sales trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Support audience diversification initiatives and community engagement programmes.
- Contribute to programming discussions by providing audience insights and market intelligence.
Digital Marketing & Content Creation
- Manage and develop the theatre website.
- Create engaging content across social media platforms.
- Produce email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
- Create digital advertising assets, including video content.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimise activity using analytics.
PR & Communications
- Develop relationships with local and regional media.
- Write press releases and secure coverage for productions and events.
- Manage the theatre's public profile and brand reputation.
Print & Promotional Materials
- Design and oversee production of brochures, posters and other marketing collateral.
- Coordinate print schedules and distribution.
- Ensure venue displays and promotional materials remain current and visually engaging.
Ticketing & Sales Support
- Manage event listings and marketing information within the ticketing system.
- Support online booking systems and third-party ticketing relationships.
- Produce sales and marketing reports.
Partnerships & Income Generation
- Identify sponsorship, advertising and partnership opportunities.
- Support fundraising campaigns and grant applications.
- Work with community organisations, schools and local stakeholders to expand reach.
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in marketing, communications or audience development.
- Strong digital marketing and social media expertise.
- Excellent copywriting and content creation skills.
- Experience using email marketing platforms and website CMS systems.
- Ability to analyse campaign performance and audience data.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within arts, culture, entertainment, hospitality or events.
- Knowledge of audience development strategies.
- Experience with ticketing systems.
- Graphic design and video editing skills.
- Experience securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
