Role Description
The drilling tech/assistant is a full time, on site based role based in Haywards Heath and travelling to various sites across the South, supporting the delivery of ground and site investigation services.
Day to day responsibilities will include assisting with windowless sampling, soakage testing, restricted access drilling operations under the direction of senior staff. The role will involve setting up and maintaining drilling equipment, supporting concrete coring, soakage testing, foundation pits and basic structural opening up works. All of the above will be executed to a high standard using safe work practices whilst keeping a clean and safe enviroment. The position will involve travelling to various sites with early starts and working outdoors in varying conditions.
Qualifications
Practical skill in handling basic tools and equipment are essential.
Applicant must have a strong attention to detail in recording data and site safety.
Awareness to health and safety practices, including manual handling and working in outdoor and construction environments.
Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions with early starts and occasional extended hours as required.
Applicant MUST hold a valid UK driving license and be comfortable driving long distances whilst towing a trailer.
Previous experience in Site Investigation or similar along with CSCS is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Right to work in the UK and capability to perform the physical aspects of the role safely.
Pay: Up to £170.00 per day
