About the Role
We are a busy and growing print and marketing company looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Graphic Designer / Customer Service Executive to join our team. This is a varied role combining creative design work, pre-press production, artwork correction, and direct customer interaction.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that customer artwork is professionally prepared and produced to the highest standards, while providing excellent service throughout the order process.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and preparing artwork for a wide range of print and marketing materials.
- Checking, correcting and pre-pressing customer-supplied artwork to ensure print readiness.
- Liaising directly with customers by telephone, email and in person to discuss artwork requirements and provide advice.
- Managing daily workloads and prioritising tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Taking ownership of assigned jobs and seeing them through from concept to production.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience working within a commercial print environment is essential.
- Excellent working knowledge of:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Experience with CorelDRAW would be highly advantageous.
- A strong understanding of print production processes and pre-press requirements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot and correct artwork issues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
