The Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of small classes of approximately 6–8 pupils.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment where pupils feel supported to learn and develop.
- Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress through tailored teaching strategies and positive relationships.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide a consistent and effective approach to learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience working within SEND education or is eager to develop a career within a specialist setting.
- Demonstrates resilience, patience, and empathy when supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Requirements
- Able to provide references covering the previous five years.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
