We are seeking someone to join Franco's Osteria for our Front of House role. We are a popular and busy Italian Osteria and Deli in Hove. On Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings we open as a small restaurnat. We serve the lunchtime trade with lunch, and we have a busy takeaway and sandwich supply business.
You must be excellent at welcoming and serving our valued customers, a good communicator, and good at teamwork. It's also essential that you can follow policies and procedures.
Your role will be to:
- Greet customers and take orders at our deli counter,
- Take payment and prepare basic orders including deli items, sandwiches, and pasta dishes
- Serve tables and take orders from our dine-in customers,
- Receive deliveries and put items away,
- Clear dining area after customers,
- Prepare sandwiches in the morning for our sandwich delivery business, according to the requests of the customer businesses,
- Support the other members of the staff team during order preparation,
- Keep the kitchen clean after preparation,
- Washing up after dine-in customers and food preparation.
Pay depends on experience, and is based on National Minimum wage plus share of tips and service charge.
We require someone who can commit to working to the needs of the business, which means that as well as weekdays, working either Friday or Saturday evening, or both.
The shift patterns are as follows:
Monday - Saturday 8:30AM-2:30/3PM. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening shifts: 6PM-10:30/11:00PM. The finish time varies so you would need to be free from other commitments after these times.
