What You Will Do

Ensure the school is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Supervise and support the cleaning team to deliver an efficient and effective cleaning service.

Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure all duties are completed to the required standard.

Lead by example by maintaining a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach always.

Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety, and COSHH requirements.

Communicate effectively with management, reporting any issues, incidents, or concerns promptly.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with the school and wider team.

Secure the premises as required and ensure all areas are safe and ready for use.

Care for cleaning equipment, materials, and storage areas, ensuring they are maintained correctly.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and guide a cleaning team to achieve high standards.

Excellent organisation and time management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Experience of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

A strong focus on customer service, building positive relationships with staff, pupils, visitors, and colleagues.

This role involves sole working. As a result of the role's health and safety risk assessment and safeguarding requirements, the minimum age for this position is 18.
