About Bayleaf Care
Bayleaf Care provides exceptional care for children and young people across the UK, especially those who have faced trauma. We use the PACE model, which creates a safe, caring environment to help children feel secure and build positive relationships.
Our approach starts with the key worker, who forms a strong, trusting bond with the child. This relationship is essential for the child’s development and continues throughout their care.
We offer personalized care, education, and treatment led by a team of trained professionals, helping children manage their emotions and behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.
There are currently 6 children’s homes open, 2 of these homes have their own school onsite. We are also in the process of opening 2 leaving care homes and 3 CQC registered adult homes so are all our young people can remain in our care by transitioning into these services. In September 2026 we are also opening 2 special schools, one will be an SEMH school and the other a learning disability school.
We are currently preparing to enter stage 3 of our growth plans, with another 6 properties already purchased and an additional school.
Each children’s home has their own permanent on-site therapist and a pool car.
Our vision is simple but powerful:
To support children and young people from childhood into adulthood, a genuine cradle-to-grave pathway of care.
This is not just a job, this is your chance to build a region, shape culture and influence change.
We don’t just open homes – We build communities of care.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Head of HR will lead and support a small HR team, currently comprising two HR professionals and a payroll person, providing day-to-day management, coaching and development. As our organisation grows, the HR team will grow and we expect there will be four HR advisors by mid-2027. Recruitment is already managed by our team of two internal recruiters.
The Head of HR will also work closely with the senior leadership team on HR strategy & leadership, and all other aspects of HR such as employment legislation, best practice, organisational policies, employee relations/experience, employee wellbeing and culture.
This really is a role that can be developed and made your own.
