We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Sonographer to join our ultrasound team in South Shields. Our Sonographers at Baby I Love You specialise in Obstetrics, however the extension of the service will now provide a range of services to include general abdominal, pelvic, small parts, lumps, bumps, gynaecology, vascular & MSK ultrasound scanning services. You will work with a dedicated Healthcare Assistant with pre-booked patient appointments.
You will undertake ultrasound procedures efficiently and effectively, adhering to the best practice of Ultrasound techniques, complying with the relevant codes of practice.
The role of the sonographer is to deliver a professional, safe and caring service. The role is extremely important, accountable to deliver a specialist skillset across all areas of medical ultrasound. You will need to balance patient interaction alongside a firm professional knowledge of anatomy, cohesively within healthcare regulations and compliance for ultrasound
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced professional individual with an outgoing personality, who can join our fantastic team. The role is focused around care, quality and safety for our customers offering an outstanding service throughout. The ideal candidate will posses highly developed specialist skills in sonography and must have a flexible approach to offer cover during evenings and weekends.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Degree or equivalent within radiography/PGD in Ultrasound
- Relevant post graduate certificate/diploma in medical ultrasound.
- Valid registration certificate with Society of Radiographers or equivalent.
- HCPC registration
- DBS Check
- 3D / 4D experience is desirable but not essential. (3D / 4D training can be provided)
