Key Purpose
To ensure Brown & Carroll’s commitment to complete every project on time and on budget, maintaining the preferred status with all the projects it undertakes is maintained, this role will be responsible for ensuring that a proactive approach is taken to providing effective general factory assistance.
Key Result Areas:
1. Providing general factory assistance within the JPQC team
· Applying protective packaging to various joinery components and associated items ensuring sufficient protection is applied for transit and storage daily
· Providing daily assistance loading and unloading delivery vehicles in accordance with standard procedures.
· Retrieve materials from storage location and distributing to departments requesting on an as and when required basis
· Ensuring effective regular communication with supervisors regarding anticipated items for dispatch and the collation/protective packaging of joinery components and associated items, prior to dispatch
· Undertake protective packaging stock records and coordinate a request for replenishment
· To undertake daily, general housekeeping duties ensuring all areas of the factory are kept clean.
2. Providing assistance to other departments within the Factory
· Aiding with manual handling activities as and when required
· Provide assistance within our off-site storage facilities as and when required
3. General driving duties (if applicable)
· To provide ad hoc driving of company vehicles, often with short notice to a wide variety of locations
· Assisting drivers with deliveries/collections in a support capacity
4. To undertake any other duties within your skills confidence to support the attainment of Brown & Carroll’s key objectives
· Ensure continuous improvement of role and development of self
· Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of administrative support provided by working with key colleagues
5. Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations and quality standards. Protect all personal information in adherence with GDPR.
· Complete all mandatory Health and Safety training and any corporate refresher training where required
