We are looking for an experienced cocktail bartender to join our wonderful team!
Peggy's Skylight is an independent, award-winning jazz club and restaurant in the heart of Hockley, with world-class live music, fantastic middle-eastern meze food, and high class cocktails and drinks. We pride ourselves on offering warm and welcoming service of the highest quality.
Here at Peggy's, you'll be working as part of a small, close team, making drinks both for table service and bar service. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards for drinks, cleanliness, and customer service. We're looking for someone with existing experience working in a cocktail bar environment, with a passion and knowledge for mixing delicious drinks and providing great service. You'll also be trained to work on the floor as part of the waiting team, so some experience waiting tables is preferred.
What we can offer:
- Zero hours, 1-5 shifts a week - we are open to the public Wednesdays to Sundays, with some private hire events or festive events on Mondays and Tuesdays. Typically between 15 and 30 hours a week, although this can differ depending on business demands
- National Minimum Wage + 10% tips (shared equally between all staff), and pension

What we're looking for:
- Experience behind the bar, ideally in a cocktail environment
- Extensive cocktail knowledge
- Ability to make high quality drinks efficiently
- Excellent work ethic and high standards
- Great customer service and manner - you'll sometimes be running bar service or working on the floor
- Supportive of fellow team members and willing to muck in
- Knowledge and adherence to best hygiene practices and legal compliance around alcohol
- An appreciation for live music and grassroots music venues
Full weekend and evening availability is a must. Weekday shifts typically start at 5pm or 6pm, and weekend shifts typically start at 11am. Usually we finish between 11pm-1am.
