Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team, who if we feel suitable may progress to work along side our current supervisor in a job share/ deputy supervisor role. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting the smooth operation of our supply chain. The ideal applicant will possess warehouse experience, computer knowledge, fork lift license, transport to reliably commute to work, with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate relevant equipment safely.
Duties
- Carefully select and pack items according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Handle materials with care, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate techniques
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely when required for stock movement
- Conduct quality control checks to verify product integrity before packing
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labelling and documentation compliance
- Assist with stock replenishment by stocking shelves and organising inventory in designated areas
- Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to coordinate timely dispatches and deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organised packing station to optimise workflow efficiency
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in picking & packing roles
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Experience with materials handling, load & unload procedures, and forklift operation is desirable
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes and quality control standards is beneficial
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment can be an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail are required for accurate order fulfilment

Pay: £15.75 per hour
