About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at our well-established 50-bedded residential care home. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the day-to-day management of the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the overall operation of the home.
- Lead and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding care and support.
- Ensure residents receive person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and independence.
- Assist with staff supervision, training, appraisals, and performance management.
- Support the management of care plans, risk assessments, and resident reviews.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Act as Manager in the absence of the Registered Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a senior role within a residential or care home setting.
- Has a good understanding of CQC regulations and care standards.
- Holds a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 5 Desirable)
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
- Can work flexibly and support the team when required.
