Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

We’re looking for a Controls & Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering team, working across CAD design, control systems, PLCs, product development, testing and continuous improvement.
We’re open to recent Engineering graduates with a year-in-industry placement as well as more experienced engineers. If you’re technically curious, detail-focused and have a can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Duties:
· Design and produce detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects.
· Support new product development, including testing, validation and implementation.
· Complete engineering administration, including part number creation and technical documentation.
· Drive continuous improvement of existing products, processes and designs.
· Produce clear and accurate technical documentation, including manuals, work instructions and guides.
· Provide technical and application support to customers and internal teams.
· Research, develop and test control systems, including PLC and electrical control applications.
What we are looking for:
· BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline — preferred but not essential.
· Practical experience using CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
· Knowledge of electrical and diesel control systems, with PLC, Codesys and scripting experience desirable.
· 1+ years’ experience in a design office, including a university placement/year in industry or commercial experience.
· A proactive, can-do attitude with the flexibility to support colleagues and work as part of a team.
· Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Full UK driving license and valid passport required as this role may require travel both UK wide and internationally to visit customers and attend exhibitions.
