We're now looking for an exceptional Clinic Manager to lead our practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader with strong commercial awareness and business acumen who can inspire teams, drive operational excellence and deliver sustainable business growth while ensuring every patient receives an outstanding experience.
Atkinson Brignall Caring Dentistry is a well-established, four-surgery, fully private dental practice in the heart of Sevenoaks. Situated in the centre of Sevenoaks within a beautifully restored, air-conditioned Grade II listed landmark building. Ideally placed for easy travel from surrounding areas, with a convenient public car park just a short walk away.
The practice provides a comprehensive range of private treatments including family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, dental implants, restorative dentistry and hygiene services.

About the Role
As Clinic Manager you will play a pivotal role in delivering both short and long-term strategic goals, balancing the day-to-day management of a busy private practice with driving sustainable growth, colleague engagement and exceptional patient care. With support of your Director of Clinic Support (DOCS), you'll have full responsibility for the operational, financial and commercial success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate and inspire a high-performing clinical and administrative team.
- Create a positive, collaborative culture through coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct daily huddles, regular one-to-ones and monthly practice meetings.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
- Develop colleagues through ongoing performance and development plans.
- Manage annual leave, sickness absence and colleague performance.
- Work closely with clinicians to build engagement and strong working relationships.
Commercial & Financial Performance
- Take full ownership of the practice's financial performance with full P&L accountability.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and business acumen to maximise performance.
- Analyse KPIs, financial reports and operational data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Translate business insights into actions that improve productivity, profitability and patient experience.
- Deliver revenue, EBITDA and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
- Conduct monthly business reviews and implement action plans.
- Oversee payroll approvals, associate payments and practice expenses.
- Develop and support local marketing initiatives that increase patient growth and Strengthen the practice's reputation.
Operational Excellence
- Optimise clinician diaries, recalls and utilisation.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
- Oversee equipment servicing and maintenance.
- Manage stock levels and quarterly stock takes.
- Handle patient complaints professionally, empathetically and efficiently.
- Ensure outstanding compliance with CQC regulations, health and safety requirements.
Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with clinicians, associates and central support teams including Finance, Marketing, Recruitment, HR and IT.
- Attend quarterly leadership meetings with the Director of Clinic Support.
- Participate in Envisage Dental's annual One Team event.
- Support neighbouring practices where required.

About You
You're an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, improving business performance and creating exceptional patient experiences. You'll bring a strong commercial mindset, excellent business acumen and the confidence to make informed decisions that balance operational efficiency, financial performance and patient care.
- Previous management experience leading high-performing teams, ideally within dentistry, healthcare or another customer-focused environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement.
- Experience managing KPIs, budgets and P&L performance.
- Ability to analyse business data and convert insights into meaningful actions.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused.
- Experience maintaining compliance within a regulated environment.
- Previous management experience within a fully private dental practice.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and dental compliance.
- Experience delivering local marketing or business development initiatives.
- Leadership or management qualification.
