At Fitness Marketing Agency, we help gym owners grow their businesses with expert training, coaching, and digital marketing. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (Setter) to join our team. This is a fully office-based role, just five minutes from Haywards Heath station, with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.
About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative (Setter), your main focus is to book sales calls, register attendees for workshops and webinars with warm leads, gym owners, who have already shown interest in our services. You'll spend most of your day on the phone, engaging with potential clients, building rapport, and scheduling them for a call with our sales team.
While the majority of your role will involve speaking with gym owners and booking qualified sales calls, you'll also be responsible for supporting the wider sales process through personalised follow-up activities. This includes preparing and sending direct mail campaigns, assembling gift packs for prospective clients, posting sales materials, and ensuring every opt-in receives first-class follow-up.
Beyond phone conversations, you'll engage with prospects across multiple touchpoints before they book a call, including social media interactions, follow-up emails, direct mail, and sending sales literature in the post to nurture interest.

Key Responsibilities
Calling Warm Leads – Spending most of your day on the phone, following up with gym owners who have shown interest in our services and getting them booked for a sales call or registering them for one of our Webinars or Workshops.
Booking Sales Appointments – Your goal is simple: get as many qualified gym owners as possible booked into our sales calendar or at one of our Webinars or Workshops.
Multi-Touchpoint Follow-Ups – Engaging with prospects via phone, social media, email, and direct mail. You'll also prepare gift packs, send sales literature in the post, and support personalised follow-up campaigns that help nurture leads and build trust.
Tracking & CRM Management – Keeping clear and accurate records of conversations and bookings in our system to ensure smooth handovers to the team.
Achieving Activity & Performance Targets – Success in this role means consistently hitting daily dial targets, follow-up targets, and appointment-setting goals. We'll provide the training, systems, and support; you bring the energy, consistency, and determination to succeed.
What Success Looks Like
During your first few months, you'll be learning our sales process, understanding the fitness industry, and building confidence speaking with gym owners.
As you develop, success will be measured by:
- Consistently hitting daily call and activity targets
- Following up with prospects across multiple channels
- Booking qualified sales appointments each month
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline management
- Taking ownership of direct mail campaigns, gift packs, and prospect nurturing activities

Compensation
- Basic Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 Per Annum
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): £40,000+ (uncapped commission, performance-based bonuses)
