Kids Operating Room is a global health charity working to ensure every child can access safe surgery when they need it.
We work with governments, hospitals, clinicians, universities, philanthropists and partners around the world to strengthen surgical services for children. That can mean creating new operating rooms, investing in surgical teams, developing training programmes, strengthening health systems or helping rebuild surgical capacity in places affected by conflict.
You will work closely with our fundraising team on international donors, partnerships, events, proposals and new ideas. You might spend one morning researching a prospective US philanthropist, the afternoon preparing a briefing for a donor meeting, and the next day helping turn conversations with colleagues in Malawi, Syria, Palestine or the United States into a compelling funding proposal.
A major focus will be our growing partnership with the American Scottish Foundation (ASF), which is helping Kids Operating Room build a stronger community of supporters in the United States.

- Creating a tracker for a new fundraising initiative.
- Coordinating input from colleagues in several countries for a funding proposal.
- Helping organise a small donor event in London, New York or elsewhere.
- Building a short briefing on a new country, partner or funding opportunity.
