Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload products using manual or motorized equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or tractor-trailers
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on delivery status or address any concerns
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and operating delivery vehicles
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking oil levels or tire pressure
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Ability to navigate and follow GPS directions effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of heavy items
- Good communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner
This role could be a combination of sales and driving. Driving in the week with a sales role at weekend for the right candidate.
Note: Prior experience as a courier or working in a warehouse setting is a plus.
