Senior Test Manager

As Senior Test Manager, you'll define and lead our group testing strategy, guiding Test Leads and Engineers embedded across delivery teams. You'll provide clear, evidence-based assurance, influence senior decisions and help technology change land safely for customers and colleagues.

How you’ll make an impact:
Own and evolve the Quality Engineering strategy, standards, controls, quality gates and metrics
testing is consistent, risk-led and measurable across Salesforce, MuleSoft and data delivery.
Provide portfolio-level oversight of test plans, dependencies, evidence and residual risk
senior stakeholders have clear assurance and can make informed release decisions.
Set the automation roadmap for Copado Robotic Testing, APIs, integrations and data assurance
automation investment improves coverage, reliability, speed and value.
Align test demand, environments, data and specialist resources across concurrent initiatives
delivery teams can manage constraints early and maintain credible plans.
Lead, coach and develop Test Leads and Test Engineers
the practice builds sustainable capability, consistent standards and strong career pathways.
Champion shift-left testing, security, resilience, accessibility and production-quality feedback
issues are prevented or identified earlier, reducing rework and production risk.

Technology & Change is a strategic priority for Vanquis. This role provides senior assurance across complex, integrated change, reducing production risk, improving release confidence and supporting positive customer, colleague and regulatory outcomes.
You'll work closely with the Head of Solution Engineering, Chief Engineering Officer, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Solution Architects, engineering teams, operational teams and governance stakeholders, seeing how your leadership contributes to meaningful outcomes.

Product, engineering and delivery teams collaborate early to prevent defects and resolve constraints.

People, process, tooling, environments, test data and governance evolve through measurable outcomes.
Technology stack and testing capability:
MuleSoft and API-led integration
Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
REST, SOAP, RAML and OpenAPI
Salesforce CLI, SOQL and diagnostics
MUnit, Maven and automated quality gates
ETL/ELT and data migration
Monitoring, logs and distributed tracing
Essential experience
- Substantial quality engineering experience, leading complex, integrated enterprise delivery across multiple workstreams or teams.
- Proven people leadership, including coaching, performance management, recruitment, succession planning and colleague wellbeing.
- Expertise in risk-based test strategy, planning, governance, defect management, quality metrics and release-readiness assurance.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce testing, MuleSoft or API integration testing, and SQL-based data assurance.
- Experience establishing automation roadmaps, CI/CD quality gates, test-data and environment controls, and auditable evidence.
- Confident senior-stakeholder communication, with the ability to translate technical quality evidence into business risk and clear decisions.
Useful, but not essential
- Advanced experience with Copado Robotic Testing, including reusable, data-driven automation and pipeline integration.
- Relevant senior test-management, Copado, Salesforce or MuleSoft certification.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated environment, including secure data handling and structured release governance.
- Knowledge of accessibility, resilience, security and performance testing within enterprise technology delivery.
