We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Dog Trainer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in animal behaviour and training. The role involves working closely with dogs and clients to ensure positive training experiences and behavioural improvements. Candidates should be enthusiastic about animal care and eager to learn from experienced trainers in a supportive and structured environment.
Duties
- Assist senior trainers in implementing structured training programmes for dogs of various breeds and temperaments
- Help maintain a clean and safe training environment, including cleaning equipment and kennels
- Engage with clients through company communication channels to provide updates on their dog's progress and answer basic questions about training routines
- Assist with handling dogs during training sessions, including walking, feeding, and basic grooming tasks
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge of canine behaviour and training methods
- Support the organisation of training schedules and maintain accurate records of each dog's progress
Skills
- Previous experience with dogs (such as kennels or veterinary care) is advantageous but not essential; a genuine love for dogs is required
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and strong sense of animal welfare
- Experience working in all weather conditions and outdoors desirable
- Willingness to learn new techniques and develop expertise under the guidance of senior trainers
- Reliability, responsibility, and a great work ethic
- Comfortable working outside in all conditions
- Full clean manual driving licence (essential)
All training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about dogs, eager to learn, and thrives working within a structured, hands-on environment. You’ll be working outdoors in all weather, supporting our experienced trainers and helping dogs progress through their training journeys.
You’ll need to be able to travel to our sites in Bramley and Send (Surrey) in your own vehicle.
