Installation Crew Member / 3.5 Ton Driver
Location: Normanton Depot
Fernley Transport Ltd is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our growing Installation Team based at our Wakefield depot.
This is much more than a driving role. As part of our specialist installation crew, you'll be responsible for delivering, positioning, and installing photocopiers and printers for customers across the UK, with occasional trips into Europe. You'll work as part of a professional team, ensuring every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
What You'll Be Doing
- Driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle to customer locations throughout the UK.
- Assisting with the safe delivery, movement, installation, and positioning of photocopiers and printers.
- Working alongside your crew members to provide a professional installation service.
- Liaising with customers and remote IT support to ensure equipment is installed correctly and ready for use.
- Using specialist handling equipment (full training provided).
- Occasionally staying away from home overnight when required (hotel accommodation and meal expenses are fully paid).
What We're Looking For
- A minimum age of 25 years.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years (insurance requirement).
- Good spoken and written English, with confidence communicating professionally with customers and IT support teams.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves moving heavy equipment safely, both independently and with colleagues.
- A strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
Previous experience in photocopier handling or specialist equipment installation would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided, so we're equally interested in applicants with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Security Screening
