International Trade Manager
Runcorn (with regular international travel)
37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday

We’re looking for an International Trade Manager to come join us, based at Runcorn. In this role you will lead our PI and Export teams, managing European supplier relationships, driving commercial performance, and ensuring competitive, profitable product propositions that support both UK and Group business objectives.
The heart of the role
- Lead the purchasing, negotiation and supplier management of all PI products supplied across the business.
- Work closely with Commercial Pricing, Finance and Proposition teams to deliver effective pricing strategies and maximise profitability.
- Develop and expand the UK export proposition for unlicensed medicines.
- Use market intelligence and industry insights to inform purchasing decisions and identify commercial opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements and PHOENIX Group supplier policies.
- Lead, coach and manage a team including Senior Buyers, Buyers and Logistics support colleagues, conducting performance reviews and supporting development.

- Proven purchasing experience within PI and export categories, ideally within a fast-paced trading environment.
- Demonstrable success in delivering budgeted sales, profit and margin targets.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to use data to drive performance.
- Experience leading and developing teams whilst remaining hands-on when required.
