Early Years Teacher (EYTS / QTS Nursery Teacher)
Location: 1 role available at each of the following sites – Wakefield, Alverthorpe & Skelmanthorpe (Huddersfield)
Salary: £30,000–£32,000 FTE
Hours: 30–40 hours per week over 5 days

The Role:
As an Early Years Teacher at Nurtured Childcare, you’ll create inspirational learning opportunities that support children’s development through play, exploration, creativity and nurturing relationships.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS framework.
- Plan and provide engaging, child-centred and inspirational learning opportunities.
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, development and independence.
- Create inclusive learning environments that support children with SEND.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and records, identifying emerging needs early.
- Lead engaging experiences including outdoor learning, creative arts, woodwork, music and cooking.
- Work closely with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Support and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Lead by example and maintain high professional standards.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for nurturing young children.
Essential
- An adaptable approach and willingness to think outside the box to meet the individual needs and interests of every child.
- A positive attitude and the ability to make children, families and colleagues smile each day.
- A passion for outdoor learning and creative approaches to teaching.
- Experience working within nurturing and inclusive early years environments.
- Qualified Nursery Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
- Minimum 2 years’ childcare experience, preferably within early years.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Understanding of quality teaching standards.
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Full DBS check.
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Experience supporting or preparing for Ofsted inspections.
