Are you looking to build a rewarding career in community pharmacy? Allied Pharmacy in Riversdale is seeking a friendly and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team. In this varied role, you'll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy while helping our patients and customers feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a helpful, professional service at the counter
- Assist with the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Manage over-the-counter sales and offer advice on general healthcare products where appropriate
- Receive, check and organise stock deliveries, keeping shelves tidy and well presented
- Handle prescription queries and refer clinical matters to the pharmacist
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all standard operating procedures
- Support the wider pharmacy team with general administrative and housekeeping tasks
What we're looking for:
- A warm, approachable manner and a genuine passion for helping people
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with customers of all backgrounds
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a busy environment
- A reliable team player who can also use their initiative
- Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail or customer service setting is welcome, though full training will be provided
- A Dispensing Assistant or Pharmacy Assistant qualification (NVQ Level 2) is an advantage, but not essential
