We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and customer-focused Waitress to join our sushi restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and explain sushi dishes, ingredients, and daily specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Serve sushi, sashimi, rolls, and drinks promptly and professionally
- Answer customer questions about menu items (including raw fish, allergens, and spice levels)
- Monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need
- Process payments (cash, card, POS system)
- Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff for timely service
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements
Previous experience as a waitress/server preferred (experience in Japanese or sushi restaurant is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of sushi dishes and Japanese cuisine (training can be provided)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, positive attitude and team player
- Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Basic math skills for handling payments
