Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover – 9 to 12 Months)
Location: Grimsby
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 3:00pm (45-minute lunch)
Contract: Fixed Term (9–12 months)
Pay: £13.98 per hour
We are looking for a reliable and organised Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts administration experience who enjoys working in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes using Sage 200 Professional
- Updating and maintaining daily Excel spreadsheets
- Chasing outstanding customer payments and assisting with credit control
- Processing inter-company goods transfers
- General accounts and administrative support as required
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
- Be confident using Sage 200 Professional (preferred)
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Be organised, reliable and able to manage their workload effectively
- Have good communication skills, particularly when dealing with customers regarding outstanding payments
