Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving beverage welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
- Serve food items promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including the coffee machine, counters, and dining area.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously.
- Support team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary activities is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanour and positive attitude.
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and sales.
